Arginin

Arginin – kleines Molekül mit großer Potenz: Der Eiweißbaustein sorgt für gesunde Blutgefäße indem es die Gefäßweite und die Blutzirkulation reguliert

Beschreibung
Die Aminosäure Arginin ist an zahlreichen Körperfunktionen und Stoffwechselvorgängen beteiligt und besitzt mehrere therapeutische Einsatzbereiche, die durch viele klinische Studien belegt sind. Arginin wird zu den bedingt unentbehrlichen Aminosäuren gezählt, da es unter bestimmten Bedingungen (z.B. in Wachstumsphasen, bei schweren Erkrankungen, Infektionen, Verletzungen, extremer Stress- oder körperlicher Belastung) zwingend über die Nahrung aufgenommen werden muss.
Eine der wichtigsten Aufgaben erfüllt Arginin im Gefäß- und allgemein Herzkreislauf-System bei der Regulation der Gefäßweite und damit bei der Blutzirkulation. Durch Erweiterung der Arterien werden die Gefäßwände geschützt und die Neigung zur Verklumpung des Blutes gesenkt. Zudem steigert Arginin die Ausschüttung des Wachstumshormons aus der Hypophyse (Hirnanhangdrüse), das den Muskel- und Knochenaufbau fördert, Wundheilungsprozesse beschleunigt und die Immunabwehr stimuliert.

Gefäß- und Blutflussregulation (über die Stickstoffoxid-Produktion)
Arginin ist die Vorläufersubstanz von so genanntem Stick(stoff)oxid (NOx). Über die Entspannung der glatten Gefäßmuskulatur kommt es durch Stickoxid zu einer Erweitung der Gefäße und damit zur einer besseren Blutzirkulation. Der Blutdruck sinkt und durch den Schutz der Gefäßwandzellen sinkt auch das Risiko, Arteriosklerose zu entwickeln. Umgekehrt besitzen Menschen, die bereits an einer beginnenden Arteriosklerose leiden, in nicht ausreichendem Maße verfügbares Stickoxid in der Gefäßwand. Die gezielte Ergänzung mit Arginin erhöht direkt die Bildung von Stickoxid. Hierdurch verbessert sich die Durchblutung und Sauerstoffversorgung der Gefäße und die Neigung zur Verklumpung von Blutplättchen (Thrombozytenaggregation) wird verringert.

Hormonbildung
Arginin stimuliert die Freisetzung folgender Hormone:
• Noradrenalin und weitere so genannte Katecholamine aus den Nebennieren
• Insulin aus der Bauchspeicheldrüse (Pankreas)
• Wachstumshormon (Human Groth Hormone, HGH) aus der Hirnanhangdrüse (Hypophyse): eine erhöhte Ausschüttung an Wachstumshormonen hat einen verbesserten Muskelaufbau sowie eine effektivere Fettverbrennung zur Folge.

Immunstimulierung
Arginin kann die Produktion der Leukozyten (weiße Blutkörperchen) in der Thymusdrüse und die Aktivität der Killerzellen erhöhen.

Bildung von Harnstoff

Arginin wird für den Proteinabbau im Körper benötigt, um das frei gewordene (toxische) Ammoniak in (nicht-toxischen) Harnstoff umzuwandeln. Bei eingeschränkter Leberfunktion kann Ammoniak unter Umgehung der Leber über den Blutkreislauf im Gehirn schwere irreversible Hirnschäden anrichten.

Spermienbildung
Spermazellen enthalten bis zu 80 % Arginin in Form der Stoffe Spermin und Spermidin. Arginin vermag die Spermamenge zu erhöhen und unterstützt die klinische Behandlung männlicher Unfruchtbarkeit.

Herz-Kreislauf-Erkrankungen

Arginin erhöht die Produktion von Stickoxid (NOx) und vergrößert damit das Gefäßvolumen. Gleichzeitig fördert Arginin die Senkung des Cholesterinspiegels im Blut und schützt das Herz-Kreislauf-System.

Erektile Dysfunktion (Erektionsstörung)

Stickoxid führt zur Entspannung der glatten Muskulatur der Blutgefäße und verbessert damit den Blutfluss aller Gefäße. Nur infolge dieser Muskulaturentspannung der Arterien kann sich der Schwellkörper des männlichen Gliedes mit Blut füllen. Ausreichend vorhandenes Stickoxid ist deshalb notwendig und förderlich für die sexuelle Funktion.

Fertilitätsstörung bei Männern
Spermazellen besitzen hohe Mengen an Arginin. Eine Arginin-Ergänzung kann die Spermienzahl erhöhen und gleichzeitig deren Bewegungsfähigkeit fördern.

Diabetes mellitus

Arginin steigert die Insulinfreisetzung und die Sensibilität der Zellen auf Insulin (Insulinsensitivität). Es verbessert die Glukosetoleranz und die Kontrolle des Blutzuckerspiegels.

Entgiftung
Eine Ergänzung mit Arginin kann die Regeneration der Hepatozyten (Leberzellen) anregen und schützt die Leber vor Schäden durch Medikamente und Umweltschadstoffe.

Immunstärkung
Arginin stärkt ein geschwächtes Immunsystem, indem es die Produktion von aktiven Leukozyten (weiße Blutkörperchen) stimuliert.

Grüner Star (Glaukom)
Aufgrund seiner Gefäß erweiternden Wirkung kann Arginin den Augeninnendruck senken und wird komplementär-therapeutisch bei Grünem Star eingesetzt.

Wundheilung

Zufuhrempfehlung
Arginin wird in Mengen zwischen 1 und 4 g pro Tag ergänzt.

Gegenanzeigen
Tägliche Arginin-Mengen von bis zu 6 g werden ohne Nebenwirkungen vertragen.
Kinder und Jugendliche im Wachstum, Menschen mit Herpes sowie an Schizophrenie Erkrankte sollten Arginin nicht ohne ärztliche Absprache ergänzen.
